SQUARES Project Consortium Meeting in Islamabad

From 15–17 September 2025, the SQUARES Consortium convened its fifth in-person meeting in Islamabad, hosted at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) within the UN Centre for International Peace and Stability (CIPS).
Delegations from Poland, Italy, Estonia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, and Pakistan participated in intensive working sessions focused on key project work packages.​
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Brig. Muhammad Irfan from NUST, together with Prof. Dr. Osman Hasam and Dr. Prof. Javed Iqbal, who expertly coordinated the program and arranged site visits to three university departments and several scientific laboratories.
Productive sessions included the completion of “Train the Trainers” activities and the launch of Work Package 5, which will pilot Quality Management Systems at Far Western University (Nepal) and Daffodil University (Bangladesh) as agreed by the Project Board.
