Didactic learning platform up and running

The integrated SQUARES training within Didactic Learning Platform, comprising four modules, forms a comprehensive educational program that develops competencies for engineering students—particularly in civil engineering—in the fields of energy efficiency, energy management, renewable energy sources (RES), and smart urban systems.
Module 1 focuses on designing energy-efficient buildings, covering energy balance, HVAC systems, RES integration, building materials, and simulation tools. It draws on resources like presentations, tutorials, case studies, and instruction from engineers and industry practitioners.
Module 2 builds skills in energy management and implementing ISO 50001 and ISO 14001 standards, including energy audits, management systems, and optimization strategies. It uses normative materials and input from experts and auditors.
Module 3 emphasizes renewable energy technologies and their economic viability, including RES system design, cost-benefit analysis, and financing models. It employs analytical tools and feasibility studies led by energy and economics specialists.
Module 4 addresses transport management and Smart Cities concepts, covering mobility systems, smart infrastructure, and integration of transport with energy systems. It is supported by educational materials and experts in urban planning and technology.
