Didactic and Dialogue Centre (DDC) inauguration at the Institute of Industrial Engineering & Management (IIEM), University of the Punjab

A Didactic and Dialogue Centre (DDC) was inaugurated at the Institute of Industrial Engineering & Management (IIEM), University of the Punjab, Lahore, on 10 November 2025.

Featuring an advanced video conferencing setup and an 86-inch interactive smart LED, the DDC enhances didactic learning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing through modern digital and physical teaching technologies. Established under the Erasmus+ co-funded SQUARES project—the first European Commission–awarded project at the University of the Punjab—the centre promotes innovative teaching practices and strengthens international academic cooperation.

The DDC also serves as a hub for capacity building through training sessions, workshops, and seminars conducted under the SQUARES project. It provides a dedicated environment for interactive teaching–learning and dialogue with peers, industry partners, and students during working hours. The centre’s training activities span a broad range of topics, including smart cities and transportation systems, academic governance and quality management, logistics and transportation trends, inventory and warehouse management, ergonomics and human factors engineering, research methods in industrial engineering and supply chain management, outcome-based education and curriculum design, modern pedagogical approaches, IT tools, and capacity building for industrial partners.
